Our Firm

Through the 60 years of caring about our clients, we have become one of the premiere accounting firms in Northwest Iowa. Strong client loyalty and referrals have made us who we are today.

Our firm was founded in 1952 by William Hunzelman, (1921-1997). Kenneth Putzier joined the firm in 1960 and retired in 1995. Wesley Stille joined our firm in 1964 and retired in 2007. Our continuous efforts to provide quality service to our clients has enabled us to grow through internal expansion and we anticipate that our future growth will be through expanded services to existing clients and through addition of new clients. We are proud of the long list of clients we have grown with and serve.

Hunzelman, Putzier & Co., PLC is a professional limited liability company and our practice is conducted from our office in Storm Lake, Iowa. Our team consists of two members, four professional staff and two administrative assistants. The firm is registered and has permits to practice public accounting in Iowa, Nebraska, and Minnesota. We are equipped to prepare tax returns in all states.
